Biography

Roger was born in a small town in South Georgia called Nashville on September 16, 1965. He attended primary school until 1983 and joined the US Navy for a four year tour from 1985-1989. After the Navy, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Valdosta State University.

Roger began a career in the trucking and logistics industry in 1995 and subsequently started his own company, R&K Logistics and Transportation, in 2003. He has been a serial entrepreneur since then, starting and operating several small companies.

His passion for racing came in early 2007 when he began doing drivers education events at his local track, Roebling Road Raceway. It only took one event to “fall in love” with his newfound sport. Roger entered every event he could, striving to learn and soak up knowledge.

In early 2008, he built his 1st racecar, a Porsche 996. Determined to do well, Roger has won his class time and time again in PCA GTB class, NASA Pro Racing GTS4 class and NASA Pro Racing ST2 class. He competed in his 1st Koni Challenge, televised event in January of 2009. Racing against some of the best drivers in the country, Roger was as high as 6th place before his team developed car problems.

Through hard work and determination, Roger has proved that he can be competitive on any platform and continually aims at venues to take him to the next level. His deep Christian faith is the center of his life and is evident by the scriptures on his car.
